Climate education and youth empowerment for a sustainable future

We are a youth-led organization championing environmental action in Uganda

Green Totos Forum is a Community Based Organization focused on environmental education, climate change advocacy, and conservation awareness with emphasis on children and youth. We believe the next generation must be equipped with knowledge, leadership, and practical tools to respond to climate change and protect Uganda’s natural heritage.

Our work is anchored in Article 6 and Article 12 of the Paris Agreement, which emphasize the importance of education, training, public awareness, and access to information in responding to climate change. We also align our work with the UNESCO Greening Education Partnership by promoting learning experiences that prepare young people to take informed climate action.

Our commitment

  • Delivering climate literacy and environmental education in schools and communities
  • Empowering youth to participate in climate resilience and sustainable development
  • Promoting biodiversity conservation and public awareness for long-term environmental stewardship

What guides our work

Climate literacy

We equip young people with the knowledge and understanding needed to respond to climate change meaningfully.

Conservation

We encourage care for wetlands, forests, biodiversity, and sustainable environmental practices.

Participation

We ensure youth voices are heard in decision-making processes and community action initiatives.
