Empowering Young Climate Leaders

Building tomorrow’s climate champions

Empowering Young Climate Leaders is a transformative initiative that strengthens the leadership, confidence, and practical skills of young people who want to make a difference in the climate movement. It recognizes that meaningful climate action requires not just awareness, but also the courage, knowledge, and networks to lead change in schools, communities, and institutions.

Through mentorship, practical learning, and advocacy support, the project helps young people move from interest to action. Participants learn how climate change affects their communities, how to communicate environmental issues effectively, and how to design solutions that are both practical and locally relevant.

What young leaders gain

  • Climate science and environmental literacy.
  • Advocacy and communication skills for public engagement.
  • Leadership and project planning for community action.
  • Opportunities to connect with mentors, experts, and peers.
  • Confidence to lead school and community climate initiatives.

The initiative is grounded in the understanding that youth are not only vulnerable to climate change — they are also powerful agents of change, innovation, and accountability.
