Taking climate action to the streets and communities
The Toto Climate Caravan is a youth-led outreach movement that brings climate awareness, environmental learning, and community mobilization beyond the classroom. It moves across communities with the message that climate action is not only a policy issue — it is a daily responsibility rooted in community behavior, local leadership, and collective action.
Through the caravan, Green Totos Uganda engages young people, schools, local leaders, and community members in conversations around climate change, conservation, sustainable living, and environmental accountability. It creates a visible, practical platform for climate messaging and action.
What the caravan does
- Educates communities on climate change and environmental stewardship.
- Promotes youth participation in local climate conversations.
- Encourages practical community actions such as cleanups, tree planting, and awareness walks.
- Creates space for collaboration between youth, schools, and local institutions.
- Builds momentum toward larger climate advocacy and resilience initiatives.
The caravan is part of Green Totos Uganda’s commitment to making climate action tangible, inclusive, and community grounded, especially for children and young people who are the future of environmental leadership.
